EVERYONE IS CALLED TO SERVE - Ephesians 2: 10
The command to go into all the world and make disciples matters
Discovery: Helping others discover Jesus matters.
The studentsoul community exists to reach out to others, and to share the love of God expressed in Jesus Christ, in a way that is appropriate to the student age and culture.
Doing: Expressing the grace and love of Christ matters.
We are created for good deeds We want to become doers of the words of Christ in response to the unconditional love and acceptance we have each freely received. We value those who are considered the poor and outcast in our world and go beyond ourselves to reach them. Every person is created for good works God prepared in advance for us to live in. Ephesians 2:10.

Uganda Mission
In July 2005 the Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda performed at studentsoul and raised awareness of the aids problem in that country, especially as it affects orphans.
A group of 13 students and adults from Leith Valley Presbyterian Church and studentsoul raised $27,000 and travelled to Uganda in January 2007 and built a house for the Watoto Childcare Ministry.
Our team had an awesome experience and one they will never forget. Being in a community where there were poverty stricken people and beggars made us so appreciative of the privilege to call New Zealand our home. View some photos of the team and the house building in our photo gallery.

The Watoto Children’s Choir sang and danced at the Events Centre, Dunedin Town Hall, on October 6th 2007. We had 1300 people there to see and hear their stories. We received over $9,000 in donations for Watoto, they sold over $6,000 worth of merchandise, signed up 13 child sponsors and TEAR Fund are still continuing to receive numerous donations since then as a result of this event.
We plan to raise the funds and build another house in Kampala in the near future. If you would like to be a member of the team please contact us.
If you would like to contribute to the cost of building this house then please donate to the same bank account below, but reference your donation with WATOTO. This will help us ear mark the money for the house. Thanks.
